about
summer 2002, my previous band had called it quits and i certainly wasn't ready to stop doing what i loved. in the following months, the idea for take today was born but had issues putting together a solid line up.
in jan 2003, friend and future bandmate, eric preuss came by with some recording equipment and late one night we tracked these two songs in my apartment. if i'm not mistaken, vocals were tracked together with the guitar.
while these aren't the greatest of performances, these document the earliest of beginnings for take today. "your eyes tell all" was a reworking of an older song of mine and "palm trees" was one of the last songs written by my previous band. the fade out ending was done because there wasn't a good way to end the song so we cheated.
